Denis Berteau pays tribute in this setting to the eponymous work by Édouard Vuillard (1911), a decorative panel measuring 2.30 m by 60 cm, composed of five rotating screens. It depicts Place Vintimille - since renamed Place Adolphe-Max (9th arrondissement) - in a springtime atmosphere with shimmering colors. The typical urban life of the early 20th century is portrayed in detail. While preserving all the qualities of the original work, Denis Berteau has adjusted its proportions to adapt it into a wall decoration.
