Yann Lacroix built this set like a palimpsest, by putting side by side and superimposing several plant motifs from photographs of his travels and artistic residences such as in Tunis, Madrid and Bangkok. He wanted the name Exploration to be conducive to creativity and serenity, to inner adventure and to that of the eye. After a first visual impact, the gaze sails through the landscape and discovers little by little the details. By confronting different levels of treatment: transparent, blurred and realistic, the painting appears to be covered with an ambiguity about the place and the moment. Thus, by this space of interpretation left vacant, the viewer enters, appropriates the panorama and discovers what he was not looking for.
This set consists of three panels (A, B and C) of 1.50m wide up to 3.30m high each, which are connected in an alternating way to form sets of infinite length. The panels are cut into three 50 cm wide strips.
