This model is the result of a collaboration with Jeanne De Marguerye and the Abbey of En Calcat, and a contemporary adaptation of Dom Robert's work Ombelles in a panoramic setting, redesigned by hand by Francesco Battista.
Dom Robert (1907-1997), pseudonym of Guy de Chaunac-Lanzac, was born in Nouvelle Aquitaine. A Benedictine monk at En Calcat Abbey, he was one of the masters of contemporary tapestry. His artistic life was made up of contemplation of nature, sketches, drawings, elaboration of cartoons, numbered translation of colours, and monitoring of weaving in the Aubusson workshops.
