How to decorate a staircase?
When it comes to decorating, the staircase is often overlooked because it is considered primarily for its function. However, staircases are easily visible, sometimes from several rooms, so don't hesitate to make the most of this passageway, which can be transformed into a real design asset!
Functionality first
Let's not forget the primary function of the staircase, which is to serve the various floors... it's important not to clutter up the passageway and to leave access unobstructed.
If you want to decorate the stairwell, as you cannot furnish this area, you can opt for lighting and wall decoration. There are many options available to you, such as paint, wallpaper, wainscoting... You can also hang frames or mirrors on your walls.
Finally, don't be afraid to play with the risers on your staircase: you can paint them, cover them with a pattern or even a pretty carpet.
